Your vibe is the last impression people will ever have of you when you leave a room. Whenever they think of you, they capitalize on the general energy you exude and how you made them feel. Maybe you ask yourself, “What vibe do I give off?”

It can be hard to tell, especially since we often allow—albeit unknowingly—societal norms and expectations to overshadow our authentic selves. Up until now, I was never quite certain of an accurate feel of the vibes I gave off to truly place other people’s thoughts and judgments about me.

My quest for answers prompted me to seek a path of self-discovery, a journey that also led me to mindfulness coaching. In this article, I will share some teas that will assist you on this rediscovery journey and help you revel in your authenticity. I will discuss what a vibe is, how to know yours, and how you can leverage mindfulness coaching. So, let’s go right into it.

What is a Vibe?

The word ‘vibe’ has a per se meaning, yet it could have a bit of a personal tinge; most people interpret it in a lot of different ways. But stripped off all the frills, a vibe just happens to be some kind of energy that sticks to one, looking like his personality, his deals, and, indeed, the state in general.

It’s a kind of subtle, energetic force at play, shaping who you are, your relationships, and how you show up. It is also the way in which you show up and are experienced or interacted with by others.

Also, realizing your vibe is a bit like peeling away the layers of an onion and coming to the very heart of who you are beneath the social norms and personal insecurities. And next up, how to peel each one neatly and unscathed:

Tips For Identifying Your Vibe

To identify your vibe, do the following:

1.    Practice Self-Reflection

Learn to stop by during the day and take a few minutes amidst a busy, engulfing life to look inside and consider your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Practice integrating it through those small minutes of your life, commuting, getting dinner, or even walking with your pet.

Doing so enables you to understand how you react to different scenarios, the people you connect with, and the environments that resonate with you. You also get answers to questions like: What activities bring me joy and fulfillment? What aspects of my life make me feel truly alive?

This is where that recognition of your deeper desires and values kicks in: it will help you pick out the special flavor that you carry and offer and the not-so-obvious pointers leading toward your true vibe.

2.    Seek Other People’s Opinion About You

Sometimes, this personality factor and general vibe of sorts are quite clear to those around us but entirely inconspicuous to us. Their opinions, no matter in what context, help you look at yourself from a different perspective. Thus, the best recommendation is to get feedback about their perception from your friends, family, and workmates.

As they present their opinions, I advise that you focus on the recurring themes or patterns that emerge in their observations, for these can tell you everything you need to know about your authentic self.

3. Observe Your Natural Preferences

Pay attention to the style you are naturally drawn to in music, movies, books, clothes, or how your living space is decorated—it can be a clear reflection of the values that lie beneath, personality traits, and the vibe you exude in life. Understanding your preferences helps you understand your feelings or, in general, become more self-aware about your choices.

4. Notice Your Body Language and Energy Levels

The overall vibe within you encompasses everything surrounding your aura, which will be felt, from your body language to your activities. Sometimes, the vibe will be open and thoughtful, sometimes gregarious or very full of energy, and at other times introspective.

Be much more aware of how you comport yourself when excited and relaxed in different situations—this may clue you in as to the general vibe you’re emanating.

5. Experiment with Different Vibes

Don’t shy away from getting out of your comfort zone and see what other vibes are there to be seen. Dress differently from how you normally do, check out another kind of art and music, or change the habits you have checked into trying.

Pay attention to how you feel and, at some point, how others may respond when you conduct one or another experiment. Only then would you uncover what really resonates on a much deeper level with your authentic vibe.

Remember, identifying your vibe is one long course of self-discovery and self-expression. Be receptive to the inside, curious of, and in tune with yourself. In that way, you will find the special energy that sets you apart and creates shine.

How Mindful Coaching Comes In and Why You Need It

Mindfulness coaching is like a path lamp on a journey to self-discovery and knowing what your vibe is really made of. It is different from all others in that it combines the principles of mindfulness meditation with coaching techniques.

Thus, it allows you to cultivate a heightened sense of self-awareness and explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Such a powerful combination surely provides a framework in which one can clarify one’s values, passions, and purpose.

From a practical perspective, the idea of mindfulness coaching flew by my mind at first. However, I gave it a try and gambled everything for the mere fact that I ached to be developed and to know myself on a whole different level.

Little did I know that that particular decision would be marked for a start of deep headway. Here’s how it played in my journey, which I can do in your case to be transformative:

1.    Awareness and Presence

In essence, mindfulness coaching aims to help you develop awareness and be in the now of every moment. This awareness enables you to identify your vibe in certain situations or circumstances.

By embarking on controlled mindfulness practices, such as meditation and doing deep breathing exercises, I’ve tapped into my mind and delved into my emotions to help strengthen the link with my inner energy.

2.    Clarifying Values and Priorities

At times, the vibe is unambiguously decided upon or touched directly by the values or priorities at hand. Thus, one has to get clear on one’s value system, interests, and priorities in order to bring out one’s vibe.

Through a series of introspective exercises and talking with my coach, I have been able to ascertain what is really important to me—clear the path toward a more authentic existence.

3.    Navigating Self-Limiting Beliefs

We all have self-limiting beliefs that sabotage our personality development and impede our path to authenticity. Fortunately, mindfulness coaching has revealed certain mechanisms that support dealing with such beliefs and replacing them with more empowering thoughts.

As I started working with my coach more deeply, looking to unearth and target long-held beliefs, I was able to address such beliefs so that they could let my real vibe shine through.

Finding and embracing your vibe can be one of the most profoundly transforming experiences in your life, and a mindful coach will happily be right along with you to lighten the path and show you the myriad complex pathways.

Through my journey, I found out that my personal vibe lies somewhere in creativity, compassion, and authenticity—congregating my choices, relationships, and well-being on their whole. Mindfulness coaching gave the necessary aides to help along that path, and for that, I am eternally grateful for the profound difference it made in my life.

As you walk through the path of self-reflection, take heed of the tremendous strengths of mindfulness coaching that will enable you to unearth your vibe. Literally, open your hearts to a journey of willingness to explore the confinements of authenticity. Only then will you finally find that your reddest, valiant color has been within you all this time, waiting to blossom.
